Valorant Points and Bundles Explained: VP, Tiers & Prices

Valorant skin prices come down to a single number: Valorant Points, or VP, the premium currency you buy with real money and spend in the store. Whether you are eyeing one gun or a whole new Valorant bundle, the sticker is always quoted in VP, and roughly 100 VP costs about $1 as of September 2026. This guide lays out the US VP pack table, what each edition costs per gun, the price bands for full bundles, and why the whole thing feels so expensive.

What are Valorant Points (VP)?

Valorant Points are Riot Games' in-game currency, and they only flow one way: you top up with cash, then spend VP on cosmetics. You cannot earn VP by playing, you cannot convert it back into money, and skins bought with VP are cosmetic only — they never change damage, recoil, or your hitbox. Because VP has no exchange rate back to cash, every purchase leaves your wallet for good, with one narrow exception we cover in our Valorant refund policy explainer.

One practical upshot: VP is a stored balance, so what you actually buy is currency, then you buy the skin. That extra step is easy to forget when you are pricing a purchase, because the pack you need rarely matches the skin you want down to the point.

Valorant Points pack prices (US)

Here are the six standard US Valorant Points packs, checked September 2026. These figures are for the US storefront; regional pricing differs. Larger packs bundle a small bonus, so cost-per-VP improves slightly the more you spend, landing near the baseline of 100 VP per dollar.

US Valorant Points packs, checked September 2026
#Pack (USD)VPBonus/notes
#1$4.99475 VPEntry pack; effective rate a touch under 100 VP/$1
#2$9.991,000 VPBaseline rate, ~100 VP/$1
#3$19.992,050 VPSmall bonus VP included
#4$34.993,650 VPBonus VP; rate improves
#5$49.995,350 VPBonus VP; good mid-tier value
#6$99.9911,000 VPLargest pack; best cost-per-VP

Notice the $99.99 pack lands 11,000 VP — a shade better than a flat 100-per-dollar — while the $4.99 pack sits slightly worse. Riot sells the bigger tiers as a base amount plus bonus VP, which is what tilts the rate in your favour on the largest top-ups.

Single-gun skin tier prices

A single gun skin costs between 875 and roughly 2,475 VP depending on its edition, as of September 2026. Riot grades gun skins into five editions, and the tier sets both the price and how much visual flair you get:

  • Select (SE) — 875 VP (~$9): base finish plus firing, reload and equip audio; no colour variants or VFX.
  • Deluxe (DE) — 1,275 VP (~$13): a custom themed finish, custom audio, and one signature inspect effect.
  • Premium (PE) — 1,775 VP (~$18): full VFX, animations, three to four colour variants, and Radianite upgrade levels.
  • Ultra (UE) — around 2,475 VP (~$25): everything in Premium plus a finisher and bespoke animations, often tied to a themed melee.
  • Exclusive (XE) — around 2,175 VP (~$22): one-off or collaboration lines whose features vary by collection.

Treat the Ultra and Exclusive numbers as community-reported typicals rather than published Riot figures — Riot effectively lists those top tiers as “varies,” so any page quoting a single fixed Ultra price is estimating. Melee and knife skins are priced separately, commonly around 3,550 VP on their own.

How much do skin bundles cost?

A full Valorant bundle — usually about four guns, a melee, and a card, spray, and gun buddy — runs from roughly 2,930 VP at the low end to nearly 9,900 VP at the top, as of September 2026. Buying the pieces together is generally cheaper than buying each gun on its own, which is the pull of every new Valorant bundle in the featured rotation. Rough bands look like this:

  • Select bundle — around 2,930 VP
  • Deluxe bundle — around 5,100 VP
  • Premium bundle — around 7,100 VP
  • Ultra bundle — around 8,700 to 9,900 VP

Elderflame, Valorant's first Ultra bundle back in July 2020, launched at 9,900 VP — roughly $95 at the time — which set the ceiling the priciest bundles still brush against today. Exact totals shift with the contents, so treat these as bands rather than fixed tags.

Why are Valorant skins so expensive?

Valorant skins feel expensive because you are buying pure cosmetics with a premium currency you can never get back. There is no in-game marketplace, no trading of owned items, no float or wear to chase, and no way to sell a skin back for cash — the worth is entirely in how it looks and how often you will see it. A Premium rifle at 1,775 VP works out near $18 for something that exists only on your account. That closed economy, plus VP being sold in packs that rarely match a skin's price exactly, is why the sticker shock is real. Where to buy Valorant Points

The most reliable place to top up is the official store, but reseller VP cards can sometimes land slightly under the official band. These cards are digital top-up codes for the same Valorant Points, and a code is only worth buying when it comes in at or below the store price. To be clear: these are affiliate links for VP cards; prices float, check the live listing before you buy.

Eneba

Eneba is a digital marketplace that lists VP top-up cards by region, so match the card's region to your account before checkout. Compare the listed price against the official pack it mirrors, because the discount is only real when the card beats the store. You can browse VP cards at Eneba.

CDKeys

CDKeys sells prepaid VP codes and is known for fast delivery of the code after purchase. As with any reseller, the price moves, so open the live listing and check the current rate against the official pack size. See current VP cards at CDKeys.

Kinguin

Kinguin is a marketplace where third-party sellers list VP top-up codes, so read the seller and region details before buying. Prices float above and below the official band, which makes the live listing the only figure that matters. Check VP cards at Kinguin.

Frequently asked questions

How much is 1,000 Valorant Points?

The 1,000 VP pack costs $9.99 on the US store as of September 2026, right around the baseline rate of 100 VP per dollar. Larger packs add a small bonus, so the cost per VP improves a little as you buy more. Regional prices differ from these US figures.

Why don't VP packs match skin prices exactly?

Riot sells VP in fixed pack sizes that rarely line up with a skin's cost, so you often buy the next pack up and carry a small leftover balance. A 1,775 VP Premium skin, for example, needs more than the 1,000 VP pack. That mismatch nudges you toward larger top-ups.

What is the most expensive Valorant bundle?

Top-tier Ultra bundles run roughly 8,700 to 9,900 VP as of September 2026. Elderflame, the first Ultra bundle from July 2020, launched at 9,900 VP, about $95 at the time, and still marks the high end. Exact totals vary with each bundle's contents.

Are reseller VP cards safe?

Reputable digital marketplaces sell legitimate VP top-up codes, and prices float around the official band. Always check the live listing, since a card is only worth buying when it lands at or below the store price. Avoid any site promising free VP, which is a scam.

Do Valorant skins ever go on sale?

Individual store skins rarely discount, but the Night Market runs about once per Act and offers a handful of randomised, discounted skins. Bundle prices are set by contents rather than sales. Since you cannot resell a skin, a discount at purchase is the only saving available.
